1. Buy a domain name
The name is something that you want to take a little time over, after all it will represent you, your club or business. You can buy a domain name from ANY domain seller, or you can purchase from us as part of the web hosting purchase. Wise Digital is our billing and client area - you can search for domains, purchase and add the website hosting there also. Already have a domain name? Skip to step 2!
2. Purchase a web hosting package
All of our packages are equipped with everything that you need to host a website AND email. If you are new to website hosting, we recommend purchasing our First Steps package. You can always upgrade later if needed. If you are already experienced with website hosting, you might know that one of the other packages are more suitable for you (for established or larger sites).
3. Checkout
When you click to buy the webhosting package, you will begin the signup process on wisedigital.co.uk, our client and billing website. The first step is to choose to register a new domain name (that you have researched in step 1) or to choose a domain name that you already own. If you are registering a new domain name, we ask for details in order to comply with domain registration laws. Search for the domain name, and add it to the cart. Then choose your webhosting package and checkout. Shortly after completing the checkout process, you will be emailed with details on how to access the control panel and begin - simple!
NOTE - in the above picture, you should see two items, the domain name plus the webhosting. If you already own the domain name the cost will show as £0.
4. Let's Create!
Once you login to your control panel, you can then a)upload your website from your computer, or b)give the login details to your website designer to create, or c)install wordpress or other software using the softaculous autoinstaller and creating a website through your browser. Through the control panel, you can also start to create email accounts and sending and receiving email with your domain name!
